Our medical oncology team treats cancer with the use of medicines—like chemotherapy (given either intravenously or by pills), hormone therapy, and biologic therapy (antibodies). Our medical oncologists are passionate about supporting you and they’ll direct and manage your personalized treatment plan in order to best meet your specific needs and diagnosis.

For over 20 years, we’ve partnered with CentraCare Health System-Melrose to provide radiation oncology services onsite at Alomere Health. Radiation therapy can be used to safely and effectively treat cancer and other diseases and can also treat symptoms that may be caused by growing tumors or cancers. Our radiation oncologists are specially trained and highly skilled in treating a variety of cancers. They’ll work with you to create a plan for the type and amount of radiation you may need.
As our team works with you to establish a diagnosis and create a treatment plan for your care, you’ll be able to complete all of the necessary imaging studies right onsite at Alomere Heath.

Nutrition is an important thing to consider when you’re getting cancer treatment. Eating healthy foods before, during, and after treatment can help you feel better and stay stronger. But cancer and its treatment may cause patients to lose their appetite and energy, putting them at an increased risk for malnutrition. Our registered dietitians will work with you to at every point of your journey.
Re-hab for cancer patients (before their treatment starts) is called “pre-hab”. Cancer pre-hab prepares your body and mind for the challenges you’ll face while undergoing oncology treatments.

• Increases your body’s ability to manage chemo and radiation with fewer negative side effects.
• Helps with “Chemo Brain.”
