Spotlight: Holly Eischens, Au.D, CC-A
When it comes to a career in hearing care, Dr. Holly Eischens is thrilled about working with a team that delivers more than just a quick fix—Lakes E.N.T. & Hearing Clinic is a comprehensive and personalized audiology care provider.
Having grown up in Canby, MN, Dr. Eischens’ career path to audiology took her to the University of South Dakota, pursuing a degree in speech pathology. It wasn’t until a class in audiology that everything clicked. “After that, I just knew—this is what I was meant to do,” she recalls. She quickly switched her focus and earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2009, followed by a Doctor of Audiology degree in 2013.
Licensed in Minnesota and holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), Dr. Eischens works closely with Dr. William Richards, an experienced Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) specialist. Together, they offer patients of all ages a clinical approach to diagnosing the cause of hearing loss and the latest technologies and treatment options.
Dr. Eischens found her dream job here at Alomere Health in Alexandria, MN. Moving here from South Dakota was a natural transition. “My husband and I love lake country and I have always felt happiest in smaller communities. This is perfect for us, and Alexandria is a great place to work and live.”
When Dr. Eischens opened Lakes E.N.T. & Hearing Clinic with Dr. Richards in 2019, she was excited to serve a wider variety of patients.
Dr. Eischens is also busy with an active home life with her husband and two children. She has lived in Alexandria since 2013 and much of her time is spent with her family enjoying the tranquility of lake time and taking in her children’s activities. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, completing home projects, and cooking.
