Sarah Rusch

MS, PA-C

Having graduated from the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse in 2005, Sarah continued her medical education at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.

“I’ve always had a professional focus and interest in children. I love their innocence, honesty, and the silly things they often share.  I also find a lot of enjoyment in the ability to teach kids and their families.  I feel that if I can educate them on how a treatment or therapy is going to work, the likelihood of follow through is going to be higher. Kids are often fascinated by the human body, so giving them the opportunity to listen to a heart beat or look in an ear is a little treat for everyone.

My personal approach to healthcare, is to listen and observe.  Parents know their kids best. Often when they have a gut feeling, there’s value in giving them the extra time to share what’s on their minds.  I also like to keep the doors of communication open, so I invite parents and patients to remain in contact via MyChart with any follow up questions or concerns.”

In Sarah’s down time, she loves spending time with her daughter, with Legos being the most popular pursuit at the moment. With a neighborhood full of other children, you’ll often find Sarah sitting in her driveway reading and sipping iced coffee while the neighborhood children ride their bikes and run free. The Rusch family enjoys activities on the lake all year long.
