 Dr. Anastas Provatas, a distinguished hematologist oncologist, is making significant strides in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of blood diseases and various cancers in the heart of Minnesota. With a focus on conditions such as multiple myeloma, leukemia, lymphoma, and a special interest in lung, breast, colon, kidney, and prostate cancers, Dr. Provatas is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care for his patients.

Before embarking on his professional journey, he completed his B.A. in Biology with honors at Wesleyan University in 1985, followed by his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He honed his expertise during his internship and residency at Yale University School of Medicine, subsequently completing a prestigious Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Hematology and Medical Oncology, Dr. Provatas holds a clinical professorship at the University of Minnesota, where he shares his knowledge and experience with the next generation of oncologists. He is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, demonstrating his commitment to staying at the forefront of oncology advancements.

He provides a wide array of treatments, including state-of-the-art immunotherapy monoclonal antibody therapy, targeted biological therapies, chemotherapy, and transfusion services. His philosophy centers on treating patients as whole individuals rather than numbers, emphasizing the importance of hope and holistic care in the fight against cancer.

Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys biking, hiking, playing basketball, and spending quality time with his family.
