Finding joy in serving.
Spotlight: Marilee Mossberg-Ardito, LPN
Marilee loves being a Licensed Practical Nurse at Lakes E.N.T. & Hearing Clinic, caring for both children and adults. But her path to nursing wasn’t a straight line—it was a journey full of heart, family, and purpose.
Marilee first set out to care for animals, earning her credentials as a Licensed Veterinarian Technician. When she married and started a family, she chose to stay home with her children.
Later, she began working part-time as a para at their school—a role that rekindled her love for helping others. Seeing her natural compassion and connection with kids, the school principal encouraged her to take the next step and pursue nursing.
She did just that. After completing her nursing education, Marilee realized her dream of becoming a school nurse in Mounds View, Minnesota. When she and her husband moved to Alexandria in 2019, she continued to work with children at Voyager Elementary.
Then came COVID. Marilee helped out as a Patient Access Representative (PAR) at Alomere’s vaccination clinic. She later joined the Medical Oncology team as a PAR, and today, while she serves patients full-time at Lakes E.N.T., she still volunteers in Oncology whenever she can—sorting supplies, prepping equipment, and making sure cancer patients have what they need to feel cared for.
