In the last year, our healthcare team has been recognized nationally with so many awards they hardly fit in my email signature. Why so much attention to the work we’re doing? I’d like to believe it’s because we incorporate our values into everything we do.
Values at work
Recently, one of our new nurses told me that shortly after she was hired, she went through a personal hardship—and she was blown away when her new team bought her flowers. “I hardly even knew them!” she marveled. This story warms my heart, but it doesn’t surprise me. That’s the kind of compassion and hospitality our people are known for. They live these values in their daily lives, and they bring them to work as well. We’ve been recognized as one of the country’s best hospitals in surgical excellence, patient safety, and more—but I’m especially proud that Healthgrades ranks us as a leader for patient experience and satisfaction.

We’re not perfect, and we’ll never stop pushing for better. Lives are in our hands, and we take that very seriously. When we see room for improvement, we throw ourselves into that. That’s why I’m so proud of our team. These awards are evidence of our culture of accountability, integrity, and excellence—values that are embraced by the staff and physicians in our hospital and clinics alike. We have an exceptional team, and I’m incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication. Thank you for placing your trust in us. That’s the most valuable recognition of all.
