A season of new beginnings.

Spotlight: Annie Paulsen, APRN, CNM

Most people shy away from change. But sometimes, it’s not only good—it’s beautiful.

For Certified Nurse Midwife, Annie Paulsen, that time is now. After helping countless women start and grow their families, Annie is preparing for her own big transition: she and her husband (married in 2024) are expecting their first child this September.

And that’s not the only exciting change on the horizon. In July, Annie officially joins the Women’s Health team at Alomere Health—though the faces there are anything but new.

Alomere is already so familiar to me. I've shared on-call responsebilities with the providers here for nearly four years. I'm thrilled to now work more collaboratively with this amazing team.

With the addition of Annie, Alomere’s Women’s Health team now includes three certified nurse midwives and three obstetricians—offering expecting mothers a broad spectrum of birthing support and care.

“The word ‘midwife’ means ‘with women’, and that really sums up how I approach care,” Annie says. “I aim to be present, supportive, and to offer guidance and coaching. Having a baby is a natural and normal life event. My role is to help women relax and trust their bodies.”

But Annie’s care goes far beyond childbirth. “Many people forget that midwives care for women across the lifespan—from puberty to menopause. Supporting reproductive health in young women is so important, and we also offer both natural and medical strategies for navigating menopause.”
