Dr. Sohail Mehmood joined the staff of Alexandria Clinic on July 15, 2010. He received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from Universidad Tecnologica de Santiago, Dominican Republic in 2002 and Emergency Medicine Training from 2005-2007 in the Dominican Republic (Harvard Affiliated). From 1999 – 2007 Dr. Mehmood also worked as Director of an Adult English Program and taught Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Earth Science. From 2007 – 2010 he completed his Internal Medicine Residency Program at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center at New York University where he was awarded Intern of the Year Award in 2007-2008 and Resident of the Year award in 2009-2010. He was also Assistant Chief Resident in 2009-2010. As an Internal Medicine specialist, Dr. Mehmood provides services as a hospitalist.
