Scott is a Minnesota native. He obtained his undergraduate education from MN State University, Mankato, with degrees in Athletic Training and Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise Science. He has a Master’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Exercise Science and a second Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Iowa. Scott has worked as an athletic trainer at various levels including high school, collegiate (Division I, II and III), the Northwoods League (summer baseball league), NFL-Europe and the NFL. As a Physician Assistant, he started out in orthopedics and later was lured into a primary care/sports medicine clinic and has since been in primary care. He also has experience in the urgent care setting. Scott has professional interests in primary care sports medicine/orthopedics, preventive medicine, and acute care. He enjoys running, resistance training, fishing, spending time with his wife and (soon to be) four children. They reside in Alexandria.
