Julie Kuhnau was born and raised in Alexandria, MN. She graduated from University of Minnesota, Duluth with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Adult Fitness in 1991. She then spent four years working as a personal fitness trainer before returning to school. In 1997, she graduated from Anoka Hennepin Technical College / Anoka Ramsey Community College with a degree in Applied Science for Physical Therapist Assistant.

Julie has worked in the region as a PTA since 1997. She joined the Douglas County Hospital therapy team in the fall of 2001. Julie enjoys being outside, camping, hiking, biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
