Sonia Heibel graduated from Battle Lake High School. She obtained her her Occupational Therapy Assistant degree from North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND. Sonia has been working as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for Douglas County Hospital since 1995. Prior to that, she  spent 3 years working for the Special Education Coop in Fergus Falls. Sonia was trained as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist in 2010. She has also received additional training in managing visual deficits, orthopedic injuries, and rehabilitation of neurological conditions.

Sonia lives by Vining, MN with her husband and daughter. She spends most of her time attending her daughters’ activities or singing with her husband in Heaven Bound Trio.
