Dr. Jessica Butanis is a native Minnesotan. She was born and raised in Little Falls, MN. She attended college at St. Mary’s College of Maryland where she played collegiate tennis. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry. Dr. Butanis graduated from medical school at Des Moines University in 2014 and stayed in Des Moines to complete her residency training in Internal Medicine. She enjoys cooking, running, and exploring the outdoors with her husband & 3 daughters.

Dr. Butanis is passionate about treating a variety of chronic medical conditions, she is particularly interested in diabetes and osteoporosis. She also incorporates lifestyle medicine in the treatment of chronic disease – this includes discussing evidence-based recommendations regarding nutrition, exercise, and sleep habits.
