As a Parker’s Prairie native, Annie attained her advanced practice midwifery certification from the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis. After school, her first position was a super busy private practice in Maple Grove, Minnesota. At the end of 2021, she moved to Alexandria to offer her patients more continuity of care.

“The word ‘midwife’ means ‘with women,” and that really sums up how I approach care,” says Annie. “I aim to be present, supportive, and to offer guidance and coaching. Having a baby is a natural and normal life event. My role is to help women relax and trust their bodies.”

But Annie’s care goes far beyond childbirth. “Many people forget that midwives care for women across the lifespan—from puberty to menopause. Supporting reproductive health in young women is so important, and we also offer both natural and medical strategies for navigating menopause.”
