Dr. Heinrich was born and raised in Butte, Montana. She attended college at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA and then married a Minnesota native. Prior to medical school, Dr. Heinrich and her husband worked for a non-profit orphanage in Kenya for a year. She then attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. She completed her four year OBGYN residency training at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN. She is a board eligible OBGYN and active American College of Obstetrician and Gynecologists fellow.
Dr. Heinrich and her husband have two small children and are looking forward to being back in a rural area of Alexandria. She enjoys reading for fun and hiking outdoors when time allows. Dr. Heinrich is grateful and eager to provide quality healthcare for women in a rural community.
Sarah Sprengeler, M.D.
Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Sarah Spengeler was raised in St. Cloud, MN. She graduated from Concordia University in St. Paul with a degree in biochemistry. She went on to medical school at the University of Minnesota - Duluth where she received her M.D. Degree. She stayed over in Duluth for two years for a family medicine residency and then made a switch into Obstetrics and Gynecology. Between residency programs, Dr. Sprengeler worked as an Emergency Medicine physician in Little Falls. In spring 2010, her family moved out to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
When she’s not at the clinic, Dr. Sprengeler plans on enjoying Alexandria’s outdoors with her husband and four children. The family also enjoys gardening, making music, and spending time at the lake.
Amanda Wilson, D.O.
Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Amanda Wilson was born and raised in Oswego, IL. She attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA and Portland, OR. She then spent four years completing her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology in Hartford, CT at Saint Francis Hospital. Since graduating from residency in 2016, she has worked as an OB/GYN in a small private practice in Columbus, NE. She is board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In her free, time Dr. Wilson loves spending time with her husband and two sons. She also enjoys gardening and being in the outdoors. Dr. Wilson and her family are looking forward to exploring the biking, skiing, and lakes in Alexandria.
Leann Zimny, PA-C
Obstetrics and Gynecology, Physician Assistant
Leann was born and raised in Avon, MN. She graduated from Winona State University with a degree in Biology in 2006. She worked as a laboratory tech and phlebotomist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN prior to entering graduate school at Carroll University in Waukesha, WI, where she earned her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2015.
Leann began her PA career working at the Urgency Center in St. Cloud. She spent the following 3 years caring for patients from the Melrose area; seeing patients in clinic, emergency, and hospital settings. She is a certified tobacco treatment specialist.
Leann moved to Alexandria in 2016 after meeting her husband, who is an Alexandria native. They have a 1-year-old son and have enjoyed introducing him to their favorite outdoor activities; boating, swimming, and exploring the local parks and trails. Leann enjoys indoor and outdoor fitness activities, traveling to new places, and game nights and get-togethers with family and friends.
