Jennifer Porter, CNM, was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota. She received an Associate of Science in Nursing degree from North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, in 1995 and Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Southern Indiana, Evansville, in 1998. She spent twelve years as a Registered Nurse at birthing centers in St. Louis Park, MN and Fargo, ND before becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife. In 2013, she earned a Doctorate of Nursing Practice, Nurse-Midwifery degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She is certified through the American Midwifery Certification Board and is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
Jennifer offers primary and preventative care to women throughout the lifespan, from adolescence beyond menopause, with special emphasis on family planning, pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding assistance, and gynecologic health.
Jennifer lives in Alexandria with her husband, Jamie, son, Jacob, and daughters, Aubrie and Lilly. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking, and watching her children’s sporting events.
