Women's & Children's Center of Excellence

At Alexandria Clinic & Alomere Health, we’ve created a special place for women, children, and their health care needs. The Women's & Children's Center of Excellence provides women with the health care and support they need through their adult years, from family planning through pregnancy and postpartum follow-up.

Our midwives provide family planning, waterbirth deliveries and lactation consulting—but did you know that they also provide women’s health services all the way through menopause? Our OB/Gyn's are available for annual visits, pregnancy and childbirth, fertility counseling and also specialized surgical procedures for women of all ages. And of course all of our three pediatricians are passionate about the health of children from infancy through adulthood. We offer a wide breadth of care to meet the variety of needs in our region, wherever you are in life.

Lactation Consultation Services

International Board-Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) are health care professionals who specialize in the clinical management of breastfeeding. IBCLC's educate women, families, health professionals and the community about breastfeeding and human lactation.

They facilitate the development of policies which protect, promote and support breastfeeding and act as an advocate for breastfeeding as the child-feeding norm. In addition, they provide holistic, evidence-based breastfeeding support and care from pre-conception to weaning for women and their families.

To learn more about our lacation services, contact the Alexandria OB Clinic at (320) 763-2700.
